Hacking Education: learn how to organise your own education hackathon

28 / October / 2021 - 13:00

Science Centre AHHAA

If you're interested in learning how to hack education, join this event!

You'll be meeting fellow educators, parents, students, and other key players in the education sector from all around Europe.

Together, we will learn how to apply the hackathon methodology to find viable solutions to education challenges!

Through interactive discussions, talks and practical exercises we will learn how education hackathons work, how to orgnaise them, and what to expect from them.

The event will take place over two days - 28th and 29th October - from 1PM CEST till 4 PM CEST approximately, on ZOOM.
Together, we will:

  • get an overview of the most common education issues and decide which ones can be solved with a hackathon
  • get some real practice with some online tools such as Mentimeter and Mural to understand what are the issues to be solved and what guidelines you may need to develop a hackathon yourself.
  • listen to experienced speakers who'll be sharing their hackathon experiences

And finally, on the second day, we will be able to take an active part in a small-scale hackathon activity.

Who is this event for?

If you're an educator, or somehow involved in education (e.g. a parent, a student, an artist, etc), join us! The more diverse the group is, the richer the discussions.

EduHack is an Erasmus Plus project, funded by the European Commission.
